Job Summary: We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills. Duties: - Greet and welcome patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor - Register patients by verifying demographic information and insurance coverage - Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar - Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to appropriate staff members - Collect co-pays and payments for services rendered - Maintain patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations - Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents - Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers as needed - Familiarity with electronic medical record systems such as Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Eaglesoft is preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus Requirements: - Prior experience as a receptionist or front desk associate in a medical or dental office is highly desired - Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and providers - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage patient records and appointment schedules accurately - Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines - Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work well under pressure This is a full-time position offering competitive pay.
